The ADVANCED project should open a new perspective for the treatment of high-grade colorectal tumors by delving into the logic of malignantly altered tissue and understanding the phenomenon of repopulation of tumor masses as a response to cell death, the so-called Phoenix raising pathway. Since the main drivers of this phenomenon are inflammatory mediator molecules, we will seek a potential therapeutic in a group of newly developed anti-inflammatory molecules or hybrid compounds consisting of anti-inflammatory drugs and chemotherapeutics.
